Wellies for fat feet?

Does anyone here have any experience getting wellies for fat baby feet? DD is 14 months and walking well, but this weather means that sometimes she wants to go for a walk around the garden but the grass is wet, so I thought I would get her some wellies. But, she has really fat feet, can anyone recommend please.

Well, if you mean wide (so a G or H fitting) rather than fat, I would recommend trying a pair of Crocs wellies. Suitable for wide feet and v. lightweight. Small child here has wide feet and a high instep and the Crocs fit perfectly.

Also, the trick to getting wellies on is to twist the boot onto the foot, so start edge-on (boot at 90 degree angle to foot), and then turn half-way down the leg section to ease into them IYSWIM. Don't need to do the same when getting them off though, just pull!

Thanks, I don't think they do crocs smaller than size 6, she is only a 4 at the moment. She just has really chubby feet, as in quite high, but looking at the crocs they look as if they could be ideal for her when she gets to the right size. I shall have to go and try some on and see how we get on Grin

Very fat socks, only way to go! Grin.

Seriously though, mine's only a size 5, but they said go one up in boots. Hadn't realised they didn't go smaller than 6. Hope you manage to find wellies before the trench foot sets in...Wink

If you find out let me know. I had the fattest feet and calves and struggle with Welles!! See if they do an adult size five!

Well, if you ever need wide fitting proper boots this company is great. Not the cheapest but, according to several friends, they last.

Also, hopefully something here might be suitable for you now! Grin

Came across a site called www.widelegwellies.co.uk too, but have never heard of them so can't vouch for quality etc.
