Haha a bombsite. It's the smallest bedroom ever and always looks cluttered even when it's tidy. Will be watching this thread though because his nasty fabric covered wardrobe and toy shelves need replacing. Teddys live in a hugestorage box. All his lotions and potions live in a box in the bathroom, he's in a proper bed and i couldn't trust him not to decorate with sudocrem again.

DD's room is a double size. The walls are pale yellow with a Winnie The Pooh border. There is a set of drawers in the alcove with white painted shelves above. There is also a nursing chair, a big bag for toys and a bureau (this was DP's when he was at school and he's determined she'll use it).

Wardrobe is built in as it's over the stairs. There are also 2 of those Ikea holey boxes for linen and laundry.

Oh and also a chair and footstool that don't fit in the sitting room now we've got new sofas.

Thankfully it's quite big, so it doesn't look too cluttered.

Twins (boy and girl) nursery is mainly white (white walls, white mamas and papas wardrobe, tallboy, changing station and chest) but with green cots, green baby penguin wallpaper and green storage boxes/nappy stacker/ laundry hamper from Jj cole.

There is a single bed in there which we'll be moving out shortly now they're 7 months old.

Noah's ark mobile, clock and ark toy.

Names above their cots from jojo mamon bebe

Ds1 2 green walls, 2 magnolia walls, black curtains, black light switch and sockets, silvery grey carpet. 2 black ikea shelves over a chest of drawers and a single divan style bed. He's 3 but this used to be my 10yr old step sons room and we have't redecorated yet.

Ds2 Turquoise walls, 2x white single beds, 2x orange half circle shelves above each bed, triple wardrobe, blue curtains, brown carpet. Ds1 & 2 used to share this room hence the 2 beds. The carpet was here when we moved in and is still in great condition so we haven't bothered to replace it yet.

Both bedrooms are nowhere near what I'd like them to be. Sad

White. With nautical theme in rug/ curtains/ cushions

Has x2 cots as both still young. No toys apart from cuddly in cots and some books. All toys kept downstairs in one room so mess is restricted, they only use room for sleeping/ getting changed.

Any clothes/ lotions are hidden away in cupboards/ drawers

MySonIsMyWorld · 20/06/2012 19:46

All sounds really nice!
Ive put my sons teddys away but i still have the top shelf full of his cuddlys to make it look more baby-ish. Books are on his book shelf, clothes are all away tidy, lotions are ontop of his chest of drawers with his gro bag thermomitor and his starlights, i think i need a blue rug for him and try and put away the special 1st christmas photo frame etc....

We rent so can't do much and his room is a box room. he is 2.5. He has a mattress on the floor so he can get in and out easily and jump around on it, it fits into a little alcove so is really cosy. He has a book shelf with loads of books and a little storage box covered with a cute sarong for his teeny clothes! (we do need to upgrade to drawers!). he has a frog storage thing from ikea on the wall for pants/nappies etc - he doesn't have creams etc though.

when we moved in I was sad we couldn't decorate the room properly but actually over time it has changed organically. He has hand-made scruffy monsters and his hungry caterpillar painting on the walls, and a 1m squared canvas i bought for him for xmas that we painted blue and black together and stuck those glow in the dark stars on... looks lovely and is all him rather than all me?!

TBH he is only in it to sleep though, never plays in it or with the toys I have in there for him so it stays quite tidy! yay hehe!

your room sounds just lovely :)

Dd is 6mo. Room has high ceiling, whute dado and white deep skirting boards. Walls are grey, curtains and accessories are green and furniture is brown wood (ikea). She has a cotbed, a chest of drawers with changing mat on top, shelf above with changing stuff on. She has a bookshelf with cuddly toys on the bottom shelf, shelf for sheets and blankets, shelf for bodysuits and sleepsuits (in baskets) shelf for books and shelf for 'breakables' like photo frames etc.

Briht green rug on a sanded wood floor and a brown leather two seater for feeds

GnocchiNineDoors · 21/06/2012 15:09

Oh and toys in the living room as that is where we spend most of the day.
