ds 9 , loads of friends ringing , I had limit of 4 allowed in today..but actually I would like to limit to one or 2 but it gets awkward.

I think it's the fact that they're in his room , sprawled all over his bed playing on the ps3 and leaving mudddy marks. I sound like a neurotically clean freak but am totally not. despite taking their shoes off the crap gets everywhere.

Am pissed off as had to change his bedding tonight ..so have banned them coming in tomorrow .

Awwww let him have his mates over, it's great he is popular and has friends. Much better that they are in his room where you can keep an eye on them.

That's why we have washing machines you know Wink If it happens agin just get him to strip the bed, my ds could do that at 9 with no problems.

2 at the most, at any time. I don't like having more than 2 here at any time as I feel like i am in demand and usually when my dd asks for people to come and play its when its not so nice out and drinks etc are usually asked for and I only have 3 beakers that are allowed upstairs ( I don't allow glasses or cups upstairs as they usually get spilt and my carpets upstairs are a nightmare to clean!)

My DD knows this and sometimes will push her luck but overall she doesn't ask for more than 2 friends at a time.

Shoes come off here too, still mud gets traipsed through my house!! How do they do it??

No shoes in the house. No really muddy clothes. And if the duvet cover is a bit dirty it won't kill him- don't change it if it's only a bit mud on the top.

You could always get a few more beakers....

seeker · 16/06/2012 22:12

Or have drinks in the kitchen only.

valiumredhead · 16/06/2012 22:12

No food or drinks allowed upstairs in my house - I don't want mice!

ggirl · 16/06/2012 22:18

i know he's lucky to have friends..i shouldn't moan
just pissed me off cos I asked him to make bed this am before the onslaught.

The mud was on the sheet he lies on.

Good idea though about making him change teh bedding next time...in my fury didn't even think if that.

Mud won't hurt even if the bed is covered in it. Mucky kids are happy kids Wink

Could you get a throw to go over the bed?

valiumredhead · 16/06/2012 22:20

Bedrooms ARE playrooms!

ggirl · 16/06/2012 22:21

yes think i'll put a fleece that's easy to wash on the bed

he has a nice bedspread but it's a pain to wash

You are Grin

I keep having to remind myself that soon I will miss having a house full of pre teens and it will seem very quiet.

valiumredhead · 16/06/2012 22:25

A fleece blanket is a good idea and easy to dry.

ggirl · 16/06/2012 22:26

they will be full grown teens
but if they're in the house at least I'll know where he is
