I always used Fairy NonBio, and a similar fabric conditioner. I washed all the newborn clothes at quite a high temp, particularly if they were wet/sicky/pooey etc. Same with bedclothes. I had two fairly messy boys, so the bedding and clothes got changed very regularly!

Hope all goes well.

I give ds new baby gros morning and night . I change his sheets every or every other day . I wash most things on 60 in non bio. You may have a sicky baby in who h case you will need to change them many times a day . Does that help?

I put DS in a sleepsuit 2 nights in a row new vest every day, trousers and jeans twice before a wash and tshirts he wears once, sleep bags he wears 2 or 3 nights and buggy blankets once a week unless anything has marks or dirty on then it goes in straight away.

DS is not a messy baby tho hardly ever sick and doesn't tend to poo out his nappy, he is very dribbly so i go through about 3 bibs a day and have one of the huge bibs with sleeves and goes to his knees to feed him. I do know other mums who have messy babies and wash all the time.

Just go with when it's dirty IMO why make extra work for yourself

Never bothered with prewashing - things got washed in a non-bio at a normal temperature after they'd been sicked on. Unless sheets are sicky/dirty it's completely unnecessary to change them more often than you would change your own sheets.

withh DS i washed everything in bio to get stains out (then again in non bio) Did NOT make that mistake with DD and washed everything in with our clothes with all the stain removers and bio etc!
I had sicky babies so went through lots of baby grows and lots of muslin cloths. I found it helpful to layer 2 or 3 muslins over the cot sheets at head end so as baby possetted i could just keep removing the layer than changing the whole sheet - but i'm sure someone will come on here and tell me that is dangerous Smile
With DD learned to not change her everytime she had a stain only if she had wet or soiled clothes

I gave birth to a Vomit Machine so washing was pretty constant for a while. Muslins squares are fabulous things. I think I used the non-bio liquids and normal temperature washes.

I used Fairy non-bio for the first 2-3 months then just threw her stuff in with ours (ariel bio).

Buy some Napisan. Wonderful stuff for pooey whites! I just dumped the poopy vest or onesie in a bucket with Napisan and warm water to soak and then popped the 'offending article' in the wash next time I did a load. Got the poop out every time!

I changed bed sheet once a week, unless she was sick in bed.

I used 40? on all mine. Came out fine. Obviously the bio powder is best at cleaning at that temp bit if you get Napisan too you should be fine. You can also put Napisan straight into the machine with your regular powder.
