Go on, tempt my dd to eat! (please)

16mo DD is off colour - has had an ear infection and a couple of very high temperatures. She isn't a huge eater anyway and it doesn't take much to put her off her food, which does stress me out as she's pretty small (not abnormally so, just 9th centile).

So what do you all tempt your toddlers with? Slightly 'naughty' food is acceptable as she's ill - in fact anything would be ok!

Thanks all

jelly and ice cream
(one of my DTs only likes 'warm' ice cream - 10 secs in the microwave.)

BombasticAghast · 07/06/2012 12:21

bananas and custard
hot chocolate with squirty cream
fruit smoothie

fishfingers and beans
yoghurt with biscuit dippers

The BRAT diet;

Bananas, rice, apples, toast. Always good when they are poorly.

BombasticAghast · 07/06/2012 12:23

fruit salad

BombasticAghast · 07/06/2012 12:23

I thought BRAT was for tummy upsets?

redrubyshoes · 07/06/2012 12:26

Bomb

I use it everytime they are off colour, seems to work.

lels99 · 07/06/2012 12:27

chocolate :)

Smooth Petit Filou type yoghurt was DS's favourite when poorly.

TheonlyWayisGerard · 07/06/2012 12:55

Innocent smoothie cartons and those Goodies toddler crisps, the cheese puffs. Never fails.

I second quavers.

Breadsticks, hummous (maybe?), toast fingers no crusts, peeled apple slices, grape halves. I find it helps if the grapes are chilled Grin

WhoahThereCrazyHorse · 07/06/2012 13:44

Phew - she's eaten. A waffle, breadstick, wafer thin ham, half a fish finger, raisins and chocolate buttons!

That's loads! My 20mo DS would have nibbled at the breadstick and a few raisins! Envy you clever mummy, you!

Well done!
Ella's kitchen pouches are good toddler comfort food and you can put them in the fridge for later if she only has a little bit at a time.
