milk & water in spain for my toddler

We are going to Spain next week and I was wondering now that DD is 16mo do we still have to buy the water specific for babies (that has lower mineral and sodium content)?

Also which milk do we get her? At home she has full fat cows milk before bed.

I would give her the same water that you drink. It wouldn't occur to me to worry at this age TBH

As Tryharder says, I'd give her the same water as you have. I went to Spain last year when DD was a similar age to your DD and you could get full fat milk easily with brands like Cravendale on sale, presumably for the expats and holiday makers. Have a great time!

Thank you both :)

My DS is 12 months and I give him Evian when we are abroad because it's low in minerals. If I were you I would steer clear of bottled water that is high in mineral content, but I am probably over-cautious! Enjoy!!

kitbit · 03/06/2012 07:39

Bezoya is the brand which is the lowest in sodium and it's nicer than Evian imo. We used it all the time when we lived there. All the supermarkets do fresh milk now too, but the colours are not the same for skimmed, semi etc.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 03/06/2012 07:45

Bezoya or Font Vella are fine for water. You are looking for Leche Entera for full fat milk. Semi-Desnatada is semi skimmed.

StarMeKitten · 03/06/2012 17:05

Thanks, i'd rather get the the lowest sodium content one to be on the safe side :)

Yep bottled water, and milk should be fine from the supermarket. Be wary of people putting ice in drinks when your eating out though if you want to avoid the spanish water.

I have used Fontvella, but we all drink it ('tis been the cheapest Grin) and just the local brand of full fat milk, but in the heat I am always really over cautious and usually buy fresh milk every day Blush
