travel with a baby

we are going to spain for a wedding when my baby will only be about 3 weeks old. we are staying in an apartment and i was wondering do you think i need to take a baby monitor or not?

hi for all those people who think this is an impossibility i too am planning on travelling with a baby of a similar age to the girl who started the thread.
i have 2 links that mention someone who travlled with a baby of 5 days and to someone who travlled with a 2 week old, so i'd say not an impossibility.
