How much sleep does your 1 year old have?

Just that really.

DS is 19 months old and has 1-2 hours at lunchtime, and 10-12 at night.

But it varies wildly! Last month he was sleeping for a good 2 hours at lunchtime and then 7-7. We had 4-6 weeks of that (this stands out because it was after 18 months of sleep all being a bit hit & miss, so it was lovely! And we thought we'd cracked it). This month, he is still getting a good lunchtime nap, but not going to sleep in the evening, even when bedtime is a bit later, then waking through the night (every couple of hours some nights, agh!), but managing to go through until a sensible 7am-ish. He's definitely tired by lunchtime.

AIBU to expect 1-2 hours at lunchtime and then 7-7? Happy to alter my expectations and routines accordingly if I am! I know they are all different but I'd be interested to hear what others a similar age are up to, sleep-wise.

DS is 20 months old. He has 2-2.5 hours at lunchtime and 11ish hours at night. On the days he misses his lunchtime nap or only has a catnap if we're out, he is a nightmare by 5pm. He sleeps the same all night regardless.

Ds is almost 18 mo
He sleeps around 2 hours at luncthime, then usually 11.5 hrs at night
Sometimes so I know it is possible he will sleep all night with not a peep, and other nights he sleeps really well through the evening but will be awake every hour or so after we go to bed needing his dummy or to be tucked back in.
It is random, and apart from when he is ill all sorted in afew seconds, but still horrible to have broken nights.

DS is 18m. He sleeps for 1.5-2 hours at lunchtime and 11 and a bit at night (6ish till 5ish). If he's going through till 7 you're doing well - many if not most toddlers are up at dawn.

If your DS is suddenly having disturbed nights he might have molars moving around.

DS (nearly 17mo) sleeps for 2-3 hours during the day (more like 1.5 hours when he's at nursery) and around 11-12 hours at night, usually with no waking. There has been the odd night of disturbed sleep lately due to molars/separation anxiety though. He tends to sleep later in the morning when it's raining as his room stays darker - it's the only good thing about the recent weather!

Thanks for your replies. It doesn't sound like I'm being totally unrealistic in my expectations :o

The separation anxiety makes sense, he was most upset last night when I had to go out and DH put him to bed ('nooooo, mama, mama!'), and he's had a bit of a cold (again), so perhaps that it the issue.
