Reusables at nursery/childminder?

I was just wondering...

Does anyone use cloth nappies with a child who attends nursery or a child minder? Has anyone had any problems with them refusing to use them?

Thanks

Yes, never had any problems, send them in each day and they send home the dirties, give them a supply of liners and wippes and re[place a s needed. Quite a few at our nursery seem to use them

my childminder was happy to use them. I used to make up the relevant combination of nappy, booster, liner and she just had to use them in the same way as a disposable. She did seem to want to change the wrap everytime as well - but since it was only for one day per week it was fine. She just stuck the dirty ones in a carrier bag for me to deal with at the end of the day.

Yep, I did this for 2 years, when dd at f/t nursery. I took the fresh nappies in for each day, all folded up ready, & took home the dirty ones each night (& this was commuting by bus - I was the original smelly bag lady . Perhaps attitudes have advanced now, but there was lots of resistance from the nursery staff e.g. they were forever putting the smellies in plastic nappy sacks, which I didn't want to use, and there was lots of sighing & eye-rolling when I told them about the washables at the start. Every now & then they'd conveniently have members of staff who'd 'forget' and they'd use disposables. That was a few years ago - hope things have moved on since then!
