Has anyone's DC got a Micro Maxi joystick scooter?

...and wouldn't mind answering a few of my musings!?

  1. Is your child pleased with it or would they rather have had a normal one?
  2. Is it any more difficult to ride than a normal T-bar one?
  3. Can you fit one of their drink bottle holders on the front still-does it have to be a special drinks bottle holder!?
  4. Do Micro scooters ever have codes? ;)

Thank you so much!!

Hello, my DD (8) and DD (5) have them.

Both seem very pleased with them, as soon as they got on them for the first time they were off and away. Our route to school is from the top of a hill and they literally just push off and stand there all the way to the bottom. They like the joystick because it gives them a hand free to eat a biscuit whle scootering Grin Not sure about the bottle holders - never tried one. Not sure about codes, I got mine from the main suppliers, one part did break on one and they sent a replacement straight away.

HTH

Fantastic-thank you so much! My DDs both have the normal ones, but DS has always steered clear as he's got a thing about the 3 wheels looking a bit 'young'-I think the joystick one has swayed him though!

Do you have to carry both scooters home back up the hill? ;)

Luckily at the moment I take them apart and put them in the bottom of the buggy...but I do dread the day I do have to push that though!

my ds (7) had one but never used it really, we had both handles and he only used the joystick one for pootling around in the garden, I think if you want to do jumps and tricks the T bar is much better. He has moved on to a stunt scooter now (maxi mico is broken) but think that if he could would like the micro for travelling and the stunt scooter for tricks but we are not made of money

I bought a scooter lock for our maxi micros and leave them locked up at school on the bike stand things- no carrying home for me :D

My DS had the maxi micro joystick age 5, he has had a stunt scooter for Xmas (age 7.5) so has passed it on to DS2. It was fab, he loved standing out from the crowd. A code is MFD30 for free delivery when you spend over £30 by 31st may.
