Which reusables fit these criteria?

Thank you in advance! When DD (11mo) was born I tried the Mothercare Smart nappy and really liked it. They stopped making it! I want to start using reusables now again. I just tried a Tots Bots - not keen as it's all one part.

What can I get that is:

Cheap
One size (so will do her from now until potty trained)
Two parts (the nappy and then an inner bit so you only have to change the inner bit often, and the outer bit less often - the Mothercare napy had terry and disposable inners, which was great).

I'm not bothered about looks. Dd is tall and slim, if that makes any difference.

I wrote to the Nappy Lady but got very complex advice - I want something simple!

There is loads of stuff out there that would fit your criteria.

Personally I would recommend tots bots Bamboozle stretches, with Motherease wraps. They are nice and slim, very soft, very reliable, though drying time can be a bit on the long side. I have lots of nappies, but these are some of my favourites.

If you try e bay there were some people selling brand new packs of the smart nappies. You might be lucky and get the smart nappies in a larger size. Alternatively, it is only within the last couple of months that my local store stopped selling them (DD was born in March and I bought a pack in February). It is possible that if you phone your local store that they may still have some lurking in a store room somewhere.

I'm using some pocket nappies from "pixie pants cloth nappies" on facebook they are cheap, colourful, easy to use . I also like Baba and Boo nappies.

Opps the ones I've suggested don't do the pull of two part system.

What about G- Nappies

YoullLaughAboutItOneDay · 11/05/2012 16:35

When you say two parts, unless you mean a nappy and a wrap, my best suggestion would be the Flip? Just bear in mind that they aren't great for heavy wetters as they can't be boosted.

i find my gnappies leak a lot on my 8mth old

Livingmagicallyagain · 12/05/2012 07:25

Thank you all. I think I do mean a nappy and a wrap. I was calling the wrap a nappy, sorry!

I was surprised at how bad the totsbot was! It was sopping after one wee, id have needed ten a day at that rate (currently use about five a day of the lidl disposables).

Onelife - birth-to-potty cotton nappy with a wrap would be my suggestion.

But I love tots Bots easifits so am surprised that you didn't like it. How many times has your one been washed - like all nappies they get more absorbent with washing. Was it an Easifit?

I found loads of Smart Nappies on Ebay so I used my old UK account, and can get them posted to family. Finders crossed I win some!

Nappy I had hardly washed it, so maybe it will get better. Just after using the Smart NAppy nothing else compares really. I will look into onelife on Ebay too!

Thank you.
