Alot of my friends had children at 16/17 after leaving school, the rest probably will when they're 30/35 and married so feeling a bit lonely a the mo!

I'm 21, fell pregnant in my second year of uni and therefore postponed my exams second year (exams end of june, due date early august so had severe baby brain!) I was gutted, but have taken a year out as a non-attending student to finsh the work i didn't last year. DS is no 8 months!

Anyone else young(ish) and want to come and share experiences?

Hii :) you sounds similar to me, I fell pregnant with DD the summer before 2nd year, she arrived half way through so I studied at home while getting extensions and deferring exams (ended up with a 2:1 for that year though Grin) then took a year out and I'll be going back in September to do 3rd year. My DP is also a student so we would've been stuffed if I'd stayed on!

Oh and I'm 22 now Smile

I am almost 21... later this month.
I have almost 3 year old DS and am just about to complete the first year of my HND in Business.
Then I will have another year of that, then a third year for a top up to an ordinary degree in Business Management and and fourth year for the Honours.
Bit of a longer way of doing but my course is still classed as full time but I only have one full day of lessons which is great to fit in around DS.

Oh and I am considering having another one before I finish this course and possibly have a year out in between the HND and top up.
Madness.

I love it though, even if I struggle to fit all the workload in around a nuts almost 3 year old and a part time job.

Hello!

I'm 25, had DS at the start of my 2nd year and DD 6 weeks ago so half way through my 3rd year. I've put an extension in for my dissertation but managed to get my other assignments in. It's all a bit stressful at the moment though because we've just moved and are still living out of bags Sad. It'll all come together I'm sure.

Hi everyone :) very nice to meet you all! Well done for not taking a year out Hannah! I did and I got no financial help! Has been so hard this year!
I went in to give my last bit of coursework today and took DS in with me! I was so embarrassed and I don't know why :( its silly but everyone was looking at me. Then the guy handing out nightclub flyers missed me out which peed me off! As, though Im not allowed a social life! Grrrr. So glad I'm done for the summer! :)

I'm a bit older (nearly 28). I had my son at 21 and went to college at 23 to do A levels and have just completed a degree (2:1 in Geography) and did this as a single parent with no one else on my courses with children.

I know how lonely you feel and people on your course may not know how you have to juggle studies, childcare and housework!

As well as here I'm sure there would be a society of student parents through your union. There was at my uni but I did not have the time to join and be an active member.

What is your degree in?
