If I did that with one of dd2's humdingers, I would pass out. Or die even.

M2T · 30/11/2003 22:27

My DH does that. Yes you are mad!

Davros · 30/11/2003 22:48

Me too, but then I save snot!

Forestfly · 01/12/2003 00:22

You are mad, granted, but i have never seen a thread called baby poo, well done

bobthebaby · 01/12/2003 06:27

Hopefully not after an oral polio vaccine though

motherinferior · 01/12/2003 08:13

Is your baby breastfed? Breastmilk poo does smell rather nice and remind one of the baby. Formula poo makes me want to move house.

bobsmum · 01/12/2003 08:52

I really miss ds' malty, milky breastmilk poo smell. I wasn't so bad when he first started solids, but then when the protein was introduced we had the UN weapons inspectors camped outside my door

Beccarollo · 01/12/2003 09:25

Yep he is breastfed and its the lovely yeasty smell that I like hehe

He has had formula ocassionally and his poos are so not as nice afterwards.

Its worth continuing breastfeeding just for the smell if nothing else

Absolutely. When dd1 started mixed feeding it was suddenly quite revolting. DD2 is still exclusively breastfed

Davros · 01/12/2003 10:12

mine's formula fed and I still like the smell. I think its partly to do with making sure they're healthy in a throwback to cavemen type of way!

samACon · 01/12/2003 10:40

BF babies nappies smell like popcorn, but that could just be my kids.

Demented · 01/12/2003 13:57

I didn't mind the smell of my two's nappies when they were exclusively b/fed but when I had a friend visit when her DD and my DS2 were both about six weeks and both exclusively b/fed I couldn't stand the smell of her DD's dirty nappies, she must have filled about 10 during the visit!

Beccarollo · 01/12/2003 14:02

Its obviously a v personal thing! I have no problem with my DD 4's bodily fluids but when her little friend came over the other day and asked me to wipe her bum after a poo I was retching..

DS has just had a dirty nappy - deeeeeeeeelicious

codswallop · 01/12/2003 14:30

not teeething yet then Br?

Beccarollo · 01/12/2003 14:38

will they lose the lovely smell when teeth come in? he is on growth spurt at the mo - doubling up the food intake and loads of extra nappies - getting a bit sick of them now! nice smell or not

OP posts:
codswallop · 01/12/2003 15:38

It will smell like sour lemons

Bekki · 02/12/2003 13:13

I can't believe I'm replying to a thread about baby poo Becca, the things you encourage me to do!

I quite liked the smell too until we used washables, now theres an annoying fishy type smell hanging in the air. I find myself getting really interested in thr different colours and consistancies, wondering what food caused that?! God I need to get back to work, too many conversations about poo, wee and nappies this week me thinks.

Demented · 02/12/2003 15:42

My DS2 has had kiwi a couple of times in the last few days, I had to have a good old examine of that, I just love the way the seeds come through whole. DH doesn't seem to share my enthusiasm unfortunately!

fio2 · 02/12/2003 15:54

yuk and what about sweetcorn

Demented · 02/12/2003 16:12

LOL!

bluecow · 02/12/2003 16:38

I don't miss ds's milky baby poo. He did projectile pooing and he'd be dozing quietly on my lap one moment and then squitting out of all corners of his Cottonbottoms the next.
