My dd will be 1 in just over a week and I'm thinking about buying her something she can keep forever, I don't like jewellery on young children but would consider something for when she is older.

I don't mind spending up to about £150 ish.

This is much cheaper - the Big Tomato Company have lovely children's mugs that you can have personalised with their name. They really are nice, I hope that DS's survives until he's 2 grown up Grin.

I'm interested to see what everyone else says Smile.

I keep the papers that were printed that day. On the day my son was born there was an article about a priest who attached helium balloons to a chair, rose into the air and .......disappeared.

So for I have 3, 4 next week Smile.

What about a charm bracelet, and buy a new charm each birthday? Could then be given to her for 18th or 21st birthday? Or a friend has made a patchwork quilt out of her DS's baby clothes, mainly ones which were significant somehow or favourites.
