Been offered a place on my dream masters course! Now I just need to figure out how I can possibly pay for it :S When I applied there was full government funding in place but it's now been withdrawn so it's over 9000 a year! Anyone with any top tips for finding cash? (Am in Scotland).

Very much depends on the course. If it's related to a profession, career development loans used to be available. Carnegie Trust fund pgs, but used to be only if you had a first. Research councils for some, but v competitive. The uni itself may have some scholarships available. Royal Society of Edinburgh used to have some funding, but not sure if they covered pg. Have you tried the university's research office?

Career development loan is definitely an option, going to speak to bank today about it. When you say the university's research office are you referring to studentships etc? Don't think that would be an option in this case unfortunately. The SAAS will give me a loan for 3400 per year so that's something. Will look into the other stuff you mentioned, thanks for your advice :)

Career development loan - this is the best deal imo but stll expensive as you have to pay back wth interest as soon as as your course has ended, which could be tricky f you don't have a job.
