I really could do with some advice and opinion on my little boy please. He's a big, boisterous really strong baby. He's happy and laughing, rarely cries and is busily into everything. He also slaps, grabs hair, pulls noses, smashes into the television and laughs his head off at no, even loud and stern no, and just repeats. So, my question is this, what do I do? Ignore it? Distract him? Remove him from the vicinity of the tv? He's my pfb so I think he's wonderful whether he pokes my eyes out or not but I recognise that isn't going to work for everyone. Is he just doing what he's supposed to at this age? Thanks

Mines 12 months and very similar. He knows what no means because we taught him about 4 months ago to not pull hair. Now, its an invitation to destroy, bang the tv, stick arm in bin, poke the sockets. I'm getting exasperated at having to move him all the time.

Physically he is better than your DS, doesn't slap much anymore, no pulling hair. He has learnt the back arch unfortunately. I think once they develop a better understanding of the effects of actions, it gets easier. Until then its repetition with 'no' and removal. They will eventually get there!

Thanks. We also have the back arch and because he's so big (26lbs and 81 CMS...) physically its exhausting.
I feel like 'NO' is getting us nowhere, I'll keep at it.
