When ds2 started school (age 4 + 4 months) we had to fill in a health questionnaire. One of the items was "is the child dry at night". The answer was no. This was 2.5 yrs ago.
He was not in fact dry at night until he was 6+ 2 months, however I have never consulted a GP, nurse, school nurse, or other health professional about this.
Today (he is now 6 + 9 months) out of the blue we had a letter through from the health authority stating we had expressed concerns about his bed-wetting, and we could phone this number to make an appointment with the enuresis clinic.
I don't mind, it went straight in the bin, just a bit bemused really. It seems a bit odd. Apparently 20% of 5 yr-olds are not dry at night, so have they just sent out letters to hundreds of 5 yr-olds because some of them will still not be dry at night aged nearly 7? It doesn't sound a very efficient use of resources, does it?
