Poohing in pants - nearly 4 help!

Having a nightmare at the moment. Took us a while to potty train ds and we cracked it last year (April). In Sept he came back from holidays, started nursery (which he adores) and started swimming lessons (took a long time to like). He started poohing in his pants then and I was very laid back about it as I put itdoen to srtess, chanegs etc. BUT he is still doing it - not all the time. He has bladder conrol - when we drove to Scotland from Northampton he could hold on no probs between motorway services - this was at Christmas but when he is doing something - watching TV, playing , whatever he just doesn't go! He goes to the loo sometimes but today for example, he just did it in his pants and continued playing for a while before I discovered where the pong was coming from. He then lied to me saying he tried and tried to go to the toilet but didn't make it. This was a total lie and I was mad! This has happened a few times lately - the lying. I've now told him he will get a punishment of no bedtime story, no tv etc etc if he poos in his pants (unless it's a genuine accident) as I'm sure it's laziness. Is this the right thing to do or has anyone got any good advice? Done the nice mummy, the understanding mummy, he angry mummy, the friends will laugh at you tactics and don't knwo where to go next! Don't want him bullied at school for it! Still wears nappy pants at night and they are full in the morning but he gets up for poohs.
PLEASE help. Got a 2.5 year old dd who is watching with interest - she is more thsn capable of being toilet trained but won't cos "ds does it in his pants". Thanx!!
Packet of chocoalte buttons goes to the person who helps!! (yes tried bribery too!!)

If anybody knows what you are going through it is me, and I really do feel for you. My ds started school in September (he turns 5 on Wednesday) and believe it or not he only stopped pooing his pants in August. Two weeks before he was due to start school!!! Prior to this he used to fill two to three times a day everyday!! It was a total nightmare - I did everything you have done from getting really mad to bribes. You'll never guess what did it in the end. We went on holiday for a week camping, and he decided he wanted to use the porta potti. From here onwards he went to big toilet and we haven't looked back since. Guess what I'm trying to say in a very long-winded way, is hang in there. He will do it when he is ready!! I can't really offer advice, but I am thinking of you

My then 5yr old DS didn't exactly fill his pants, but would just do a little pellet and keep the rest in. Still stinks ofcourse. It had something to do with not wanting to go to the toilet at school, and laziness. Getting him to drink more and giving him more fruits like prunes and dried aapricots helped because it made his poo softer and he needed to go more often, so got more practice with keeping it in/going to the toilet on time. I still have to remind him to go sometimes, when he is passing wind but too lazy/busy to go...

can you try something where he gets a reward for not doing it, and loses something if he does do it?

ie... get a small container.start with say 2 5ps in it
if he goes all day without poohing his pants he gets 5p
if he poohs his pants you remove a 5p

Thanks you lot! Knew I'd find some answes on here!! I'll give that money jar a try, I've tried the rewards bit but if it's rewards/losing something combined it might work and he does like shopping!!!
Thanks for giving me hope that he'll stop doing it when he's ready!! He eats tons of fruit an goes about 2-3 times a day so constipationis NOT a problem here!!
Thanks you!
