Do ME Sandy's and Tots Fluffles have any resale value now?

And if they do, where would be the best place to list them please?

I'd really rather sell them if I can as I need to buy some new night nappies for DS.

What do you think? Or are they so out of date now that it's not worth it?

Thanks :)

I'm not sure if any 2nd hand nappies have value anywhere!
I've had more luck listing on MN than on usednappies.co.uk. And every other site seems to have even less possible traffic.
Sorry, not what you want to hear.

Oh dear. Thanks anyway :)

I might just experiment and see how much padding fluffles need to be effective night nappies then.

I sold some ME and Cotton Tots at our NCT sale last October. I had a few fancy nappies in as well and they didn't sell, so maybe the NCT types are into more trad nappies!

They do sell IME - have you tried clothnappytree? Thats pretty busy, and though a lot of people there are really into the newer/fancier nappies, there is still a market for reliable cheap basic ones too.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2012 19:31

Oh and you could try a wool soaker/longies or fleece wrap over the fluffles (boosted or unboosted), using the natural wicking properties of the wool or fleece.

Thanks all. I'll have a look at clothnappytree and NCT sales then.

I've managed to boost the fluffles enough with hemp to get them through the night, so I might hang on to those after all even though they give DS ridiculous bum

They're so quick drying I'd use them during the day if I thought I could get clothes over them. I'm not sure even his frugi stuff would get over them :o

You could try selling them on e bay. There are quite a few sandys advertised and I think they sell. Don't know about the fluffles though.

ChristinePlushPants · 12/03/2012 22:58

Definitely try selling them, there are always ppl who want these things, esp people who are having another baby and want more of what they had last time. Try the for sale boards on places like here. Ebay don't allow sales of used nappies, if they catch you at it your post will be taken down, that's why usednappies.co.uk started up in the first place. Silly if you ask me, but apparently it's classed as "used underwear"! Definitely a market still for the less fancy nappies, not everyone wants the all singing all dancing all in ones.

thejaffacakesareonme · 22/03/2012 14:13

I agree that strictly speaking used nappies are not meant to be sold on e bay. There are loads listed though and I've bought some from there recently. I suspect that so long as it is clear in the listing that they are used nappies that ebay don't bother policing it.

JBrd · 23/03/2012 23:07

There are lots of Facebook pages where people sell pre-loved nappies!

mancbird · 27/03/2012 23:45

Loads of facebook pages! I've bought lots off fb :)

Well, I've been buying Fluffles off ebay (naughty naughty) so yes, there is a market for them. Smile
