does dad need some help bonding with child or is he hands-on

does he hold your baby / cuddle him / feel comfortable he's not going to hurt him

does he really cry all the time you're gone or is it just the way it seems

Twiglett · 24/01/2006 19:06

why doesn't DH wear him on a sling?

shrub · 24/01/2006 19:11

slings to buy or hire they just want to be held at this age. maybe you could wear it at night so it has your scent on it and then get dh/dp to use it during day?

ergo sling is a good one. we use ours both ways (have 3 ds's )and they don't look too feminine

what about lots of skin to skin contact - has he tried having a bath with her?
good for calming down baby and having fun once she gets confident in water.

Ugh, I'm with you there. DD is fine with DH, but I can't even hand her off to go to the bathroom for just a minute without her screaming her head off. Not used to it, DS was never that way at all. It drives me crazy, because I can't leave her with anyone but DH.
