Nappy Rash Thrush?

DD1, 2.6, was recently treated w/antibiotics for a chest infection. She now has a really red nappy rash that Bepanthen isn't shifting. It isn't bothering her, it's just really red.

Could it be thrush?

Do I HAVE to take her in to get it sorted? I'm at the GP so much, people are going to say we're in love [insert vomit icon].

canestan cream works a treat.

Thanks!

My car's died, so it'll have to wait till AA gets us to the garage and we figure out what the hell is wrong - either battery or starter motor.

Canesten as already suggested!

does she like yoghurt? Give her yoghurt with live cultures - works a treat for thrush adn doesn't need a prescription! Check the package though - most of the kids yoghurts don't contain live cultures.

we had this and no amount of canestan would shift it

the following recipe from a book on aromatherapy for babies worked a treat:

1 drop lavender oil
1 drop tea tree
10ml almond oil

in fact it's so good (and mild) the whole family uses it for everything from whitlows to cyclists crotch (don't ask!)
