How is she at self-soothing? We taught our baby to do this at 10 weeks and - after just one night - he got on with his farts himself. Before that, they were a real 'occasion'!

Self soothing sometime ok but she sucks on her fingers alot recently due to teething as well she doesn't have a dummy

I'd recommend you work on her ability to self-soothe herself to sleep. (put her down while still just drowsy and let her take herself the rest of the way. If she cries, stroke her hair /hold her hand /talk gently to her etc. If she can't settle, pick her up and comfort her, and then get her drowsy again and put her down... ) The night we did this, it took 3 hours, but he got there. Make sure you take your food/drink in with you so that you're not getting stressed thinking about not having it.

Also, have you tried just giving her your hand to gnore on? Or a teething dummy?

Fab advice! I was wondering how to get to sleep in crib without screaming house down (and waking 3 year old who we did cc with and I hated it even though it worked). She seems to gag on dummy type things so hand is a good idea will try that.

Honestly, if she cries, don't stress it. Do whatever you have to to stop her crying. We don't let our baby cry - they only cry because they need us :)

Also try baby massage of the tummy area to help with gas think you should be able to find instructions on the net or ask at your local children's centre x

Hi Ladies,
I have feeding problem with my little son, its really nerve racking and I just wondering if any of you got the same problem.
He always been a bit restless when it comes to feeding time; agitated , wants to be on a boobs as quick as possible and then after few minutes starts back arching and cry because of being gassy and sucking too much air, But last 3 days he's been worst, from late afternoon he spitted up most of his feeds and all night grunting and moaning quite loud, trying to poop but he cant! me and him hasnt sleep for 3 nights on a row! I can hear his tummy rumbling and I tried Gripe water and infacol but no change happens.
I do completely breastfeeding and havent tried any formula yet. Pls pls help me , and if you suggest to add formula to his diet pls let me know which one you think is the best. I really apreciate your help.
