I live in the north. My DD is 12 months and I may have to put her in a day nursery for perhaps 1 morning per week, but none of them display on the website how much it will be.

TIA

Thanks all, interesting to hear that the price comes down when they're 2.

Looks like they might be around £40 for my area then.

A few of you said they may be unwilling to take her for half a day! What about if it was 1 full day per week?

Our local surestart (which is v good) charges 31 per day when they are 2.

£33 a day (8-5.30) includes 3 meals and 2 snacks but not nappies or babymilk

timeout When DS started at 18 months he was only down for one morning a week. Nursery warned me he may not settle that well and to bear in mind he might need another morning session. In the end he was fine within a month (ie: 4 sessions).

Nurseries don't usually recommend only one day a week, purely because it can take so long for the child to settle. What about 3 mornings a week?

You would need to check, but I know that many nurseries insist on two separate sessions, either 2 whole days or 2 half days.

DCs old nursery now charges £45 per day (Midlands) - they would only take for a minimum of 2 full days or 3 half days as they said any less wasn't long enough for the child to settle.

However a friend got one day per week when she said she would take a Friday as lots of people like Friday's off so apparently there are less DCs in the nursery then, so you may be lucky
