I just have very little patience with my 2.5 dd

i should know better i went through it with older ds but i am worn down with her recently

loud, shrieking, tantrums, dressing battles etc. we used to get along so nicely but lately i get very angry with her

any tips? coping strategies?

Me too!! I had to remind myself not to take it personally and that they are testing boundaries. I tried to make sure DD1 wasn't too tired as this magnified the tantrums - even if I have to drive around in the car for half and hour to get her to have a rest/ snooze. I find the getting ready bit thhe worst cos if they just stayed still for a few minus they could getbon with playing but they don't seem to appreciate that Smile

I used to argue the point and battle it out until I realised that it was about as effective as trying to rationalise with a Yorkshire Terrier :) So I stopped doing that and instead I'd walk off saying 'you know best' and do something else for a few minutes. A tantrum without an appreciative audience is apparently not worth the bother. Also agree 100% about tiredness. Even the nicest child turns into a frothing gargoyle when in need of sleep!!
