But of a strange one really i spose. Ds is 18 months old and eats a varietyish of food. Typical toddler loves junk but loves fruit and roast dinners too. (except the veg lol) thing is how do you get them to try new foods? I've tried again with pasta twists won't eat it. Dosnt create or anything but won't even try it to see if he likes it or not. strangely if sneak is slightly wet like cottage pie he won't eat it, but can use a spoon perfectly to eat yoghurt, cereal pudding etc. No real problem as such just wondered how people got them to eat other foods. He ate everything when he was fed lol, although interestingly wouldn't eat lumpy food. Went from purée to finger food like a dream.

My DD is quite hesitant to try new foods at times, she is 2.5yo, and my trick has always been to give her some, have some myself, ignore her, and say out loud to myself "Oh this is yummy" and make lots of approving noises etc! Then curiosity gets the better of her and she wonders if it really is nice and has a taste. If she doesn't like it, I thank her for trying it, and move it away from her. No fuss, no arguments, last thing you want is food to become a battle :)
