Can't get the 'Hedrin once' out of my daughter's hair!

Treated my daughter's very long, very blonde hair with 'Hedrin once' last night and despite washing it again and again and again and applying loads of shampoo (to dry hair, then rinsing) it still looks really greasy and awful.
Anyone got any tips on shifting the stuff??

No, sadly I haven't.

Last time I used it it took about half a bottle of shampoo and repeated washings to get it gone. Sorry.

God knows what they put in it, axle grease I think.

Thanks, I'll keep on washing it then. I read a suggestion of using washing up liquid, but that may be a bit harsh. DD's nearly 14 though so probably wouldn't hurt to try.

She must have hair that nits just love, she's had them regularly since Primary school and I have 3 other DDs and none of her sisters have ever had them.
This is the first instance at High School though.

Over the years I've tried every method/lotion/potion going.
I'd read good things about Hedrin Once but this residue is just too much, I wouldn't use it again.

Lots of shampoo does it, get it to lather and you're done. Might take a few goes

I use this on the dcs and it's worth it. Just takes washing out properly.

I've had this problem and tbh I just tightly plaited DD's hair for a day and got it out over a couple of days. Worth it though as it really kills the little buggers.

Don't wet the hair first and use washing up liquid or a cheap bubble bath as they foam up quickly. Hedrin Once is very effective

Hope the Hedrin works. I shall be 'combing' every other day to make sure.

I hate nits, I must have spent hours treating and combing DD's hair over the years and as it's really long and thick that's no fun for her or me.

I really thought once she got to High School those days were behind us and
being nearly 14 she's terrified someone might see one on her head at school and tell everyone.

Fingers crossed this is the last time we have to deal with the little blighters.

Have you tried Treat & Go? My daughter had nits for an embarrassingly long time, until a kind friend took her in hand with the above. It worked! HOORAY! It killed the bugs and washed out and all in all, was marvellous. Do try it. It's made by Hedrin but is not the same as previous versions, it seems. Can't recommend highly enough.

Talcum power is excellent.

If I have to hedrin the kids hair then I then get them to cover their face with a flannel after the treatment time is up and I completely douse their hair with talc. It absorbs the hedrin and helps it wash out in only one or two shampoos.

It also works when your infant DD thinks it funny to smear themselves, including their hair, with sudocrem.

Try Hedrin Treat n Go - not nearly so greasy

Embarassingly my kids have recurring nit problems which Treat n Go (new type of safe nit treatment made by Hedrin) has dealt with brilliantly. It isn't greasy is a mousse so easier to use and won't run into their eyes. Smells good too! You can even send them off to school with it in as it dries after about half an hour. Good luck.

Tried and tested - To remove hedrin you need to first apply shampoo/ body wash all over the coating of hedrin and wash it off as water will bounce straight off hedrin if it isnt coated. The second wash should be Clarifying shampoo which will remove all the product and oil from the scalp and hair strands. The third wash will be either shampoo and Conditioner 2 in 1 or a Conditioner on its own. Minimum washes required is 3. Clarifying shampoo is a must to prevent continuous shampooing and to remove the oil and Conditioner as clarifying shampoo can dry the scalp and hair .
