What disposable nappy for night time wetter? - sleeps on side so leaks on side

My 7 mo DS2 has recently been going through a spate of night time leaks.

We use Beaming Babies disposables which have been fine for daytimes but are now consistently leaking overnight. DS2 tends to sleep on his side and this is where the nappy seems to leak from.

Any ideas on well fitting disposables that might fit the bill for our heavy wetter? He sleeps in a bedside cot, has lots of night-time wakings (followed by lots of feeding back to sleep) and since he's become mobile now ends up in the bed most nights.

Although getting wet doesn't seem to bother him helping him stay dry has to be worth a shot at reducing the night-time wakings and would certainly save my sanity now I'm washing sets of double bedding and duvet daily rather than cot sheets Smile

Many thanks

DS2 (now 12mos) bf all night during the night and ends up sleeping on his side snuggled next to me and I had the same issue with leakage in my bed.

The only disposables I have found that don't leak are Aldi ones, they are enormous and sagging by morning but never, ever leak (hope that's not famous last words!)

i am mostly a washable nappy user (or rather, i use them on the nipper!) but at night, as i have been unable to keep her dry despite mammothly boosted nappies, i use a huggies nappy with a waterproof nappy cover over the top.
i'm using a bumgenius flip cover, as that is what i have handy, and i think it does the job. she sleeps on her front, and usually the front is sodden and would leak out, but the nappy cover holds the nappy snugger at her tummy, so not usually any leaks.
there are lots of different nappy covers available, some less plastic-y and more adjustable (so he wouldn't grow out of them) than others.
hope this helps

I use disposables at night if my re-usables aren't dry in time. When I do, I put a Little lambs size 2 bamboo booster folded in half lengthways round DS's waist so it goes round the front and sides under the waistband of the nappy, and a wrap on top of the whole thing (currently using Blueberry Coverall but have also used Motherease Airflow which were also great). Otherwise I always get leaks up the side too, no matter which brand - none of them have any absorbency at the sides. Wouldn't cost you much to get a few boosters and a wrap second hand..?

I find going up a size helps with leaking. As soon as they start to leak that is my cue to go up to the next size. Try that, you'll be surprised.
