Could dd be allergic to her wee?

DD2 is 6 and a half months old and unfortunately suffering from terrible nappy rash. I think it is linked to her teething as she already has 8 teeth and it has been present since the first one arrived on and off. I have tried numerous creams, nappy free time, disposables (she is normally in cloth), chamomile tea flannel wipes, etc etc.
My dd1 suffered a lot too but hers was def related to her poo when teething but this time it is all up the front to the top of her nappy area rather than round the back. During nappy free time today she weed on her mat and lay in it before I spotted it and her front got all red again where she was laid on it.
Any ideas, advice, help? We will be back to the HV on mon.
TIA

I had almost exactly this with dd at around the same age. Calendula cream works wonders and even if you're not sure it's a yeast infection Canesten can also helpd loads- it helped clear dd's up but it didn't look anything like thrush.

Long term, I discovered that dd was allergic to disposables, especially Huggies. I've now worked out that supermarket own brand nappies are OK but Pampers and Huggies are a no no, as are very cheap brands. I think this is due to the lotions and potions they put it them. Nature Boy and GIrl nappies are fab- Moltex are also meant to be good but I never tried them. I stuck to washables for ages but it's good to have dispoables for emergencies (and now when she's a toddler and it's such a fight to change the nappy that one layer is enough let alone nappy, liner and wrap
HTH and I didn't ramble too much (unlikely)

I have put her back in cloth today as the disposables are making no difference anyway and just whacking the creams on. I have Weleda calendular nappy cream which I have used too. I agree it is lovely too, but I have needed something a bit more heavy duty.
Actually it seems a bit better today....touch wood. I have some Oilatum for the bath now too which I hope will help.

Just a little update to say that dd2's teeth seem to be giving her a bit of a break at the moment and lo and behold the nappy rash has gone. Amazing. At least I know what the trigger seems to be and I can be prepared for next time.
