Does anyone still pop their baby 'out of doors' at naptime?

I have a smallish enclosed 'yarden'. I like the thought of baby having a nap out there (obviously not in the snow or anything!) in it's pushchair. Get a good bit of cool air in it's gills.

Does anyone still do this?

I know baby will nap while out and about at shops etc, but if Im not planning on popping anywhere one day, could I do this?

I used a cat and a mosquito net (in summer). We also have a dog, who is in and out of the garden, so a deterrent to all sorts of undesirables.

Yep, either to finish a nap or sometimes just because it was a beautiful day, she needed a nap and the shady spot in the garden was much more appealing than her bedroom.

Have to say I found the pram more straightforward though, we do get visiting cats occasionally but I didn't worry about her in that. On holiday in Spain when she was a bit older in the travel cot, it was just too hot inside so naps in the garden were much more pleasant, but we did have to test our Spanish dictionary to its limits to get hold of a cat net from anywhere before I could relax about her.

When ds1 was younger and was going through his crying all the sodding time phase, the only thing that would calm him down is being in the garden watching the tree's in the wind.

I would wrap him up warm, put him in his pram and put him outside, then I'd get me a cup of tea and go sit outside with him. Eventually he'd just quietly drift off to sleep so I would leave him there and go sit on the sofa and read or chill out or something.

Patio doors where in the lounge so I could see him the whole time he was there.

He'd always wake up much happier after that. until the next crying frenzy
