My group of mummy friends are throwing a big b day bash (for us) to celebrate them being 1. We have drawn a 'secret santa'.

I have no idea what to get and was hoping that you all might have some brill ideas Of what will be played with. I have drawn a little girl if this helps!

Thanks.

The happyland range from ELC has gone down very well with my daughter. She plays with all the animals and people in the zoo, but I'm sure as she gets older she will use the setting more. However, she does get the food for the animals and hold it out to them.

We have a fisher price 'say please' tea set which she loves to play with too-think that's £16-£18 ish!

Hope that helps!

Just a smidge over £20 is www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Amazing-Animals-Choo-Choo-Train/dp/B000EULXA2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321712737&sr=8-1 this. I remember my brother getting something similar as a child after he'd had his tonsils out. We loved it! I'm getting it for DD2 for Christmas - she'll be nearly 11 months old.

I like this:

Flower Bead Maze

Bead mazes popular here at 12mo and still keen at 15mo.

this one on amazon is out of stock but they had them in my local wyevales garden centre for £19.99

Natzer · 19/11/2011 19:07

In fact it may have been less, Maybe £16.99

GColdtimer · 19/11/2011 19:09

Play food. Dd had some wooden ice creams for her first birthday and stil plays with them. She is nearly 6. They were Melissa Nd Doug I think.

V-tech baby walkers are currently £9.98 at Asda.

My DD was bought this for her 1st birthday and it is still played with lots now and she is nearly 2.

MerryMarigold · 19/11/2011 19:28

Have you played much with this little girl? Does she enjoy anything in particular?

Megablocks are great and can be played with for ages and ages.

What's this Mum like? I am someone who puts my kids in tons of hand-me-downs, but I really appreciate it when someone gives me a lovely item of clothing. If she is a Mum who spends a lot on clothes then I wouldn't get more, but usually parents who don't do appreciate it (and let's face it the 1yr old won't give a stuff!).

Squigglywiggly · 19/11/2011 20:06

Thanks for all ideas! Liking the idea of the tea set!

The little lady likes music and puppets. Books are also enjoyed. Wouldn't risk clothes as I think granny buys lots! But I do think it is a good idea.

I've bought the EB Dancing Mice Melamine set for my DDs first birthday as I think it's something she'll be able to use and keep
