Anyone got ideas on how to entertain 2 7yr old boys this afternoon?

Hi, my ds started at a new school in september as he was being bullied at his previous school. He has invited a boy round to tea after school today and just wanted a few ideas if they are struggling to think of things to play.
DD (4) had a friend last week and we decorated biscuits, did hama beads, played playmobil etc and it was fine. I'm struggling to think of what 7 yr old boys like to do though! DS is quite quiet and spends most of his time at home playing lego, reading or playing board games with us.
If anyone has any ideas of activities i could do with them I'd be super grateful, just want to make sure this child has a nice time :)
Thanks

they may well entertain themselves

my 7yo always disappears when her friends come over

IMO it's an indicator of a good 'playdate' (God, I hate that word!) - how little you see of them Grin

Maybe get the lego out in preparation?

My ds and his friends usually run straight for the wii. Depending on my mood, I might let them play on it forever, or I kick them out for a while and tell them to play football or go for a bounce on the trampoline. Nothing wrong with playing lego, either. If they don't know what to do with themselves give them a challenge, like build the biggest Lego aeroplane ever or so.
Also, don't worry so much. They are 7 and can take care of themselves. They probably already have big plans for the afternoon!

yes i agree with notnowbernard.
My ds would be horrified if i try to get them to "do" orgnaised stuff as this interfers with his free paly time with his pal.
They have been made to "do" things all day at school, let them do their own thing.
I would seriously leave them to play on their own. You dont have to entertain them really.

thanks for the replies, I hope they do just go off and play and think up their own games. Have had playdates in the past though where they have turned up asking me what they should do, so wanted to have something up my sleeve just in case.
DS has tons of lego so hopefully this child will like playing lego!
Just want to make sure the child has fun and will want to come back (ds had rotten time at his old school, no friends, no playdates etc)
fingers crossed x
