hello. I have just discovered I am prg with #3. I always wanted 3, but am now having a minor panic. can anyone reassure me please? was it that bad? did you travel at all? did you go out of the house, even? My oldest will be 4 when new one is born, youngest will be 2. eeek.

As my name suggests I'm a name changer, btw - nothing sinister, I just don't want anyone I know in rl to find the news out on here before I tell them. haven't told anyone yet as it's v early days.

Agree about the noise. Five people in a smallish house can be noisy. DP is an only child (as are the GPs) and it has been quite hard for him to relax his standards. I am more lenient as I am just so pleased they get on so well. At the moment they are all lying on DS1s bed playing on the PS2 together - DS2 is making the most noise...

Haven't read all thread but I have 3. 9 years, 5 1/2 years and 8 1/2 months. No 3 was a mistake so I was really panicky about having 3 and so far its fine. More juggling involved but agree that the jump from 1 to 2 is bigger than the jump from 2 to 3.

Theres more noise and more to do but more laughter too.

I have 3, oldest is 3 (severely autistic), middle almost 4 and youngest 1 next week. I find the combination of ds1 and ds3 very hard as they both need constant supervision. DS2 at 3 has been a breeze. BY the time ds3 is 2 (assuming he is NT) I suspect it'll be much easier. It's the supervision aspect of ds1 I find hard, without that I think it would be tiring, but we could do pretty much anything.

I don't go out with all 3, but that's because I don't go out with ds1 unless he has a one to one, so having 3 is no different to having 2 there.
