We have a 15yr old DS and are now expecting DC2.

I suppose it is kind of a broad question but anyone got a tips about age gap and the rest?
I was 16 when DS was born so has parenting babies changed? and also I've changed and I'm not clear on some of the stuff now and what I will be like. Also DP is great and is dad to DS (he adopted him) but he has never done the baby/toddler stage (we met when DS was 5 - got together officially when DS was 11, but DS was calling him dad before he was 11)

Thanks

Babies definitely haven't changed but the advice is probably quite different. My DS is 11 and I know, from reading these boards, that 2000 might as well be the Dark Ages in terms of baby-rearing. :) At 31 you'll probably notice things like lack of sleep more than when you were 16. But you'll also have a more mature outlook & be far more confident in your own judgement, less reliant on books and HVs. 'DP' will just have to roll up his sleeves like any other new dad. Most find they're so bowled over with the little thing when they arrive that it comes quite naturally... if different to your own style of parenting (speaks voice of experience). But you've known him a long time and you've seen how he is with a younger child - that's a pretty good indicator, I'd say. Congrats!!
