Hi.
I have to admit I have always used disposables with both DS and never really considered reusable but having big problems with 7 month DS wetting right through several times a night. Have tried bigger size, different brands etc.. but all to no avail so have been suggested to try reusable.
I have no clue what I need to buy, the best brand for heavy wetters etc.... please can I have some advice!

Thankyou x

For night time use on a heavy wetter, a dedicated night nappy is essential. Ho;den's Landing Bedbugs, Weenotions Night Notions, a heavily boosted Totsbots stretchy Bamboozle... Basically a big, fat nappy that is mostly made of bamboo.

Some like microfibre, I found it a bit too creepy-feeling and wet-dog-smelling. and not as effective.

Then a wrap. Lots of people like popper Airflow wraps, I always found PUL wraps damp and horrible so prefer fleece or wool wraps for nights.

In the daytime it is all Itti Bitti AIOs, Totsbots Easyfits, Blueberries and Bumgenius.

I'm having success with a microfibre and hemp double boosted bambeasy.... not tried holdings landing, weenotions, but she wees through double boosted bamboozles...

A very good night nappy for heavy wetters is the Holdens Landing bedbug or bedbug plus. All reusable night nappies are an awful lot bulkier than disposables so be prepared for a very big-bottomed baby but it's never bothered DS. I used a brand called Real Easy mostly, because they had a lot of space to stuff extra bamboo and hemp boosters in, and had the waterproof outside already. I also used HL nappies with a fleece cover over the top (as they need something over the nappy). Fleece isn't waterproof but allows some moisture to evaporate (doesn't cause wet bed though if the absorbancy of the nappy is ok), and both fleece and wool nappy covers are good in heavy wetters as the allowance of evaporation stops so much needing to be stored in the nappy.

Actually I have never used a designed night nappy as there expensive and take forever to dry. I just use 2 bamboo squares doubled up, fold in the kite fold, nippa and use an alpaca soaker over the top. Never ever leaked, cheap and quick drying. Simples.
