help to get 5y dd to sleep

Any advise on how to help my 5y dd get to sleep?
She goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 pm but is not getting to sleep untill about 9:30 and 10pm. She says she is not tired and she certainly does not seem sleepy. She wakes up about 7:30 or I will wake her a bit earlier on the days I work, and has plenty of energy through the day. She is quite prone to tantrums but I'm not sure if they are due to tiredness or just her.
I do try to get her outside for fresh air and exercise but even after 3 hours at an adventer play ground on Monday she was not tired and up to 9:30.
We have a very basic bed time routine just drink and snack if it has been a while since tea, then teeth, pjs, story and bed.
I have been letting her play quietly in her room, look at books, or listen to story tapes.
So anything I could try or should I just except that she dosn't need that much sleep?

9:30 is quite late. Can you slowly put her to bed earlier by 5-10 mins every few nights until she gets used to sleeping earlier?

At 5 she is old enough to understand bedtime is lights out, eyes closed and stay in bed and keep trying to sleep (no toys/books).

If she resists, at 5 she is also old enough to be blackmailed Grin into a new routine (promise of small reward - when ds was 4 it was a little £1 car each night he went to sleep/slept through, then one each 2 nights in a row, then each 3 nights and so on - best £12 we ever spent!)

We have just solved this with our dd3 (age 4.5). i used a sticker chart with the understanding that she could have a treat at the weekend (magazine, cheap tat from claires, that sort of thing) if she got 6 stickers the first 2 weeks and all 7 after that. she checks in the morning to see if i ticked her chart then she puts the sticker on. we have had trouble free evenings for 5 and a half weeks now - fingers crossed we have cracked it! hope this helps - good luck!
