Where can you hold a two-year old's birthday party if not at home?

Any idea where I can hold a toddler bun fight, whilst my own flat is newly carpeted and up for sale?

There will probably be 4 toddlers max and a couple of grandparents and we'll need wine somewhere that would be comfortable for grownups too .

Thoughts?

Omitted to add: we live in a medium sized city, with a beach but no parks nearby and DS's birthday is in December. Any suggestions at all would be gratefully received!

Hmm - if it was a bigger party I would say hire a hall
is it at a weekend - in that case I would say soft play would be a bad idea - although my friend did a small scale party where she paid for the children to get in and for some food - not a full on party
a kind friend's house who is going out/invited?

Some church halls have hire very cheaply and have a range of room sizes. Our parish hall is £15 for a party. They can run around and even have ride ons if you want to make use of the space.

Would also say that if you are careful with food and drink then at home needn't be horrendous. They really only need toys as usual-a birthday cake and a couple of balloons makes it a party!

Some cafes have kids room - that might be an idea.

IS there somewhere in your town that is doing Christmassy events?

Home should be fine? Only water to drink and no chocolate cake Grin

Def only White ish food! I stick to this rule when more than a couple of children come to ours and works out fine!

Thanks for the replies and apologies for the delay responding.

I've decided to wreck the flat. MIL owns one of those carpet washing machines and I'm going to hide all the pens. What could possibly go wrong?

Soft play centre! They often do party packages but for a small group like that I'd just turn up, play, eat some cake.
