My friend was horrified that I keep my Tommy Tippie nappy wraper in my baby's room where she sleeps, it never occured to me that this might be a health hazzard and have moved it the the bathroom but am now wondering if my friend is over reacting. Where do you keep your nappy bin?

Its a big green wheelie bin so has to be outside!

dirty nappies - I empty anything 'solid' down the toilet then put the nappy in the kitchen bin.

wet nappies - straight into kitchen bin

Empty kitchen bin once a day

I have a scented nappy sack in the corner of baby's room. I fill it up, and then when it smells funny I throw it in the wheelie bin.

Ours was in the baby bedroom as that’s where the changing mat was. It was a proper twisty bin which kept all the smells in and baby couldn’t access it so no concerns. I’m not trekking to the bathroom every time to throw a nappy out. More chance of a dirty nappy getting kicked on the carpet in the interim which would be more of a health hazard!
