17 month old with possible food allergies advice needed!

I am just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. DS2 has not been herself for about 3 months now. It seemed to start with a slight tummy bug although she wasn't really that sick, for about 4 weeks she would be sick once about twice a week, she was very pale and listless and her nappies were disgusting, undigested food and very pale in colour. It seemed as though she had developed lactose intolerance as a result of this bug so we cut out dairy and vomiting stopped and nappies improved slightly. However she is still very pale and she doesn't seem to be digesting her food judging from her nappies. I have taken her to the doctors twice and was first told it was reflux then told it was just a phase. I have made an appointment for next week. I am reluctant to cut any more food from her diet although I have been giving her soy stuff instead. I suspect she's anaemic because of whatever it is thats wrong with her. The thing is she hasn't lost weight and she's bright enough in herself although more irritable than she used to be (of course that could just be her age!) so it's hard to pinpoint. I am sick of being made to feel like a neurotic mum. DD2 is my third child so
I am experienced in illness, even so a mum knows when there's something wrong. Does anyone have any ideas or advice on what it could be and how to deal with the doctor next week? Thank you!

Push for a referral for testing.

A lot of people who are allergic to dairy are allergic to soya too as the proteins are similar, so it might be an idea to give oat milk instead of soya, although if under 2 she will need a specialist formula to replace ciw's milk as a main drink unless you are breast-feeding

Thank you for replying. She was bf until 3 months ago which was when the problems started, she had never had cows milk as a drink before. I will ask for a referral but I hate that it's so difficult to be taken seriously. The last doctor I saw told me I shouldn't cut dairy out but didn't give me any other advice!!! Thanks for suggestion about oat milk, will give it a go.

Please don't cut items out of a child's diet without professional adice. You run the risk of deficiencies and / or still including items that contain the culprit allergen. Ask for a referral to a paediatric dietitian if your GP isn't able to help.
