Tips for having a 2.5 yr old at a funeral???

DH step-dad just died very suddenly and we both come from families where you go to the funerals (none of this children aren't old enough stuff) plus he was her Pops. So obviously she is going with us

She's 2 1/2, DH doing the eulogy and I'm 3 weeks off giving birth to DC2.

So any tips???

Will the church have a crying room? The last funeral we went to, DD was about 18 months and I basically spent the entire time in one of those crying room things that churches put in there for crying babies - there were toys and books and I could see through the glass.

Any other tips gratefully welcomed, though, I'm taking my DD 2.7 to a funeral this weekend as well. My basic plan is to make sure she is well fed and toileted beforehand, and if I have to take her to the crying room/outside for a runaround, I will, as long as DH gets to send his Gran off.

Exercise before hand, we took our 18 month old for a long walk before his great Uncle's funeral. Also talk about what will be expected, and that people might cry.
Mine have all been to a few funerals, and were always well behaved. They knew what was expected. The 18 month old slept through the whole thing including Eucharist.
As you are so pregnant, see if a Granny or Aunt would find it a comfort to hug a little one.
