I think its a totally ridiculous idea, BUT I'm happy to admit if im wrong! Ex dp's girlfriend and her ex are buying their 2 sons this for this Christmas, and now ex dp is saying we should do the same!!! Is it me? Am I being out of touch or something? I think its madness!

i found my 5yr old son and his friend naked using their willies as light sabres, just thought id share that.

of course its silly, waste of money and another way for the children to dissasoiate themselves from family life

I cannot see a problem tbh.

But then we are the house of Apple...

Oh my goodness, this argument again. I know Apple are sometimes seen as a bit of a cult, but honestly, there is no document to sign in blood when you buy an iPad to say that you hereby sign your right to all other activities over to Steve Jobs :( Tim Cook. It doesn't mean that you agree to forfeit all other games, exercise, activity or interest. Why do people always assume that it's one or the other? My 3yo is a whizz on my iPad, absolutely loves it and has played on my iPhone since she was a year old. She hasn't used it today and is currently changing into her swimming costume to go and paddle in the sea. It's one of many many things she does. For the vast majority of people technology enhances your life, not ends it.
