Just wodering how everyone else's day is? Mine in the wk is quite boring. I dont go out much apart from some days i collect my mum from work and sit round there for a bit then go home do dinner etc. Wkends are great dh is home and we do stuff as a family. love it. But when i am on my own i become this sow boring thing lol ie i get up get ds's breakfast, get him washed and dressed and he gets his toys out and me? well still in pj's drinking tea on the comp or something. I am so unmotivated! All my old friends have either moved away or lost contact. I have moved to a new area so i dont have anyone near by. But i need some up lifting and ideas to change my life a bit for myself in the week. All ideas would be great.
Oh going to mother and todler groups are not my thing nor swimming as i cant swim and dont enjopy getting in the water lol
What does anyone else do hroughout the day?

dunnyjo, when I am not at work I make a point of keeping very busy with the children (or I go mad and they do too lol)
It?s easier for me as my older 2 are at school so we have friends round for tea etc.
We also have regular things eg swimming lessons, Beavers, dance class etc.
My pre-schooler is at home with me or his dad 2 days a week. We do storytime at the library, mum and toddler group, pre-school gym class (which he loves) and some playgroup sessions as he is 2.5.
You say you don?t like M&T groups but it can be a nice way of meeting someone local with similar aged children - always good if they are in the same school year! You could then arrange to meet them at the park or soft play if you preferred.

i have 2 dd's aged 3 and 1.

we do stuff like go to the library - ours has a great kids section where they dont have to be quiet, can pile the books on the floor and they have crayons and colouring books too. once a month they have a storytime

we dont have much money either, so we do stuff like go to the massive pet shop nearby and look at the fish/birds/rabbits (cheaper than the zoo!)

we also have a massive garden centre that has lots of chrismassy stuff just now, including dancing santas

we go to the fish market for our fish once a week, very exciting (or so dd1 thinks)

we go and feed the ducks

its really hard at this time of year, cos you have to wrap up really well, a lot of places are shut and you cant really play in the garden or go for long walks. roll on summer again

DunnyJo my DS is the same age, I am also a SAHM.

I am just settling into a routine in a new area (we moved in August), so I don;t know anyone either.

8am - get up, get breakfast
8.30 - Shower, get dressed, get DS dressed, tidy house, put laundry on etc
9.30 - usually go out somewhere in the mornings. One morning DS goes to Tumbletots. The rest we go shopping in town, visit the garden centre (pets, fish, have a coffee), go to soft play, to the park if it's nice, etc. One morning do housework.
12 - lunch
1.30 pm - DS has a nap, I come on MN, or do other things online, etc
3 pm - get DS up, sometimes we go out again, walk to the shops, or supermarket shopping, otherwise get something specific out for him to do e.g. playdough, drawing, etc
5 pm - get DS tea, wash up, clear up toys etc
6.30 pm - DH gets home from work, baths DS
7 pm - DS in bed

After Christmas am hoping to find another activity for DS e.g. music group. The groups can be expensive but I think DS needs to be mixing with other children a bit.

I don;t like those free for all mum & toddler groups much either.

I find I have to plan something specific for each day otherwise I would sit in PJ's all day and go mad.
