Disposable Nappies Needing a Good Home!

PranSerahndDancer · 05/12/2005 16:24

I have "happened" across at least 200 hundred small size pull up disposable nappies (haven't counted them - probably more) . I don't like pull ups for little babies and they don't soak as much up as "my regular brand" so I didn't use them.
Although they are sealed, they can't be sold as they are in plain white bags - this means a charity shop can't accept them, but is a crying shame to waste them.
Anyone got any good ideas for who could use them?

anyone from the evening crowd have any suggestions? Hate for them to go straight to landfill without at least having had a use.

Are they small enough for a newborn? Thinking maternity ward here...

Or a children's home?

how small?

toddler small(2 yrs old)

PranSerahndDancer · 05/12/2005 21:18

Thanks for the suggestions - I don't think they would be big enough for a toddler but I'm basing this on my giant 1 year old though and they could well fit a small 2 year old. Could you use them Jambo?

I think that maternity wards and childrens homes would have to have stuff that is labelled up - but the womens refuge is a thought and I'll look into that if no-one wants them off here.

The Friary drop in centre take virtually anything. They are in West Bridgford, failing that what about a woemn's refuge or a young parent's group at a nearby Health Centre. Nottingham has one or tow younger mothers.....

hotmulledwinemama · 05/12/2005 21:43

Oy - are some of you fellow Nottingham girls? Didn't think there were many on here.

Think the Womans Refuge is a good idea - where is the Friary Drop In centre. I live in WB - can't say I know where it is.

jambothesnowman · 05/12/2005 21:57

I am in scotland

PranSerahndDancer · 05/12/2005 22:15

lol Hotmama. That could well be it!

Not so local then Jambo! But if you CAT me your address I can send you a sample? If you like them we could work out if a courier is financially viable.

(And if not I now have everyones great suggestions that I can follow up! Thanks )
