That's it in a nutshell, really. DD is 7, DS is 4 and due to start school after summer. DH and I considering another - is this classic empty-nesting?

Can anyone share their thoughts / experiences? Feeling very torn.

Love this thread. But for the ladies with 3-4 kids spread out was it much harder having the last baby when they were older than the younger ones??? I have 3 kids and the youngest is heading to preschool now...and broodiness is rearing its head again. But i would be 10 years older than when i had my first one. And 40 if i got pregnant fairly quickly when i gave birth. is it much harder to be an older mum? The age gap would be a lot bigger than with my others- theres a 2 then 3 year age gap between them!!

In some ways it is harder being an older Mum. I don't have the energy I used to have (i'm 47). It wasn't too bad when he was a baby but now he is an active 5 year old I can find it quite hard going. He never stops! That said in some ways it's easier. I don't care what anyone else thinks. I do things my way and I know i'm right Grin. My two teenagers are not delinquents and I am sure he won't be either!
