my DD is 18 months and i was wondering when others started to think about potty training. i was thinking maybe when the weather starts getting warmer and shes wearing less clothes! she will also be getting on for two then. any advice?

a bit young IMO. I would wait until at least 2.5 to aim for more positive results.

Definitely!

I have found the later you leave it the quicker and easier it is. I have done both mine at 2 and 2 1/2 and have made sure they are more than ready. Do not get caught into peer pressure. Its just not worth it. I had a friend who potty trained at 18 months but had 6 - 9 months of 'accidents'. Personally I do not see the point! I would rather wait longer and only have a couple of weeks worth of accidents.

I have been wondering about what age to potty train, i have heard the longer you leave it the better but the red book says at the 18 - 24 month check they ask how its foing, but then I think the health visitors do sometimes expect children to develop morequickly than a lot of them so and of course it still suggests starting solids at 4 to 6 months rather tha waiting til 6
