I wasn't desperate to have a girl.
After having Ds's1 and 2, DH and I decided to go for number 3. EVERYONE assumed we were desperate for a girl, and we had so many comments about it.
As it happened, DC3 turned out to be twins and one was a girl.
Now I get lots of 'Isn't it lovely to have a girl at last?'
Er, well, she's 5 wks old, not that different to a newborn baby boy at the moment!
It really bugs me when people go on about the girl thing, like boys are somehow inferior
. Even my Granny said that she wondered if I would bond with my boy twin ok, as I didn't really need him
There's so many posts on here about how people as disappointed not to be having a girl, etc. I find it very sad.
