My head hurts

and I know I know this stuff, but it wafts about like an etherial cloud and refuses to form into solid knowledge. I think I am having a rather large panic that I will be like this in the exam.

My head feels so utterly stuffed that I cannot even answer the children's questions as my brain refuses to work out if they can have a lolly or not. I have NEVER felt this brain dead. It is like it has just stopped.

Anyone else with this, as of yet, unamed syndrome? Pre exam partum?!

How are you feeling today? Better I hope. Your exams on the 24th isn't it? So still plenty of time for your thoughts and knowledge to coalesce into solid knowledge as I'm sure they will.

I've got 'Current Economic Issues' tomorrow and I'm not feeling very confident about that one, mainly because I'm doing more toward (and seriously stressing) about the horror to come that is Fridays' Micro exam.

Ewwe Current Economic Issues sounds seriously scary and intelligent. Oh I do wish you good luck - are you prepared? Is it problem questions or essay?

Today, thankfully my head has cleared so I am going over what I tried to learn yesterday without feeling I have lost a day.

What is a micro exam btw? and once more, very good luck!

I'm studying economics... though regretting it some of the time. I also had offers for a couple of maths courses at the same place but thought economics might be more transferable when job hunting time comes around :) I thought that economics would have enough maths to keep me happy (about a third of the modules are maths or statistics based) but alas that's not quite the case. Also I didn't realise quite how disadvantaged I'd be by not having done economics at A level although it wasn't a requirement... and I loathe having to do the team stuff (though twice I pleaded and got to do the coursework on my own) and there is none of that on the maths courses!

Today's exam was three short essays from a choice of seven questions. It went well I think... I'd revised four topics thoroughly (we'd been given eight possibles) and skimmed the others just in case.

Micro is 'micro economics' which is the firm/industry/individual stuff as opposed to 'macro economics' (next Thursday) which is the government/policy/country/world stuff. I've also got 'maths for economists' next Monday - so a lovely non procrastinating weekend coming up!

Glad your head had cleared by yesterday - long may you remain cool, calm and confident with a modicum of stress purely for it's positive benefits!

What do you think of those people on The Apprentice Keyn? What do you want to do with your degree also? In my field, I am aware that whilst I might think a mature face at a 21 yr olds wage should be attractive, having been to a pupilage fair, I am not so sure that holds much water. Is it the same in the economics world? I would imagine that is a broader market and anyone with an interest in mathematics is at a premium at the moment?

I did my A levels 30 years ago, there was never a law option. However, I don't feel disadvantaged even though a lot had done A level law as I think what we are doing now is far removed from what must be a more basic introduction. I am interested it isn't the same for you.

Essays to write today. Food shop later after chauffering and then laundry. Remind me why I am doing this?!
