I need maths GCSE. I have a cse grade 2 which isn't enough. I did adult numeracy level 1 and 2 (got 39/40) but need the actual gcse not the equivilant.
I tried to enroll at college, but because I am already a student doing a degree, the cost was over £700 (just over £200 for non-students).
My question is can I arrnage with my local school to sit the exams there if I am doing self-study?
If so, then how much?
TIA

If you are doing AQA or another GCSE, they will give you a list of external Secondary and private schools who will host external candidates. You need to register and then approach the schools. However AQA etc will help you to do this, but it will be down to you. You will have to pay a fee to the school to sit the exam.

My daughter did an external GCSE and this is what I remember she had to do. So approach (they are all on line) AQA etc, they let you pay monthly as well, and I remember it was an expensive way to get a GCSE, not as much as £700, £200?? if I remember and then they will tell you what to do and when. Good luck!

However, years ago in O level days, I did maths in the evening. Perhaps that is a possibility as the Government funds some sort of maths?

Thanks. I've done the government funded maths, but it's only equivalant to a gcse. I need an actual gcse to do EYPS after my degree.
