Can you recommend me a large shaped cloth nappy please?

DS is 16 months and getting too big for our size 2 Bambinex Teddies (the velcro comes undone under the wrap). He weighs about 30 lbs, which I know is below the maximum weight for the Teddies, but he grew out of size 1 when he was quite a bit lighter than the max weight (he's 98th centile weight / height).

I like microfibre as I rarely use a tumble dryer. I prefer poppers, but wouldn't rule out aplix fastening.

We use Motherease one-size at night - he still fits, but there'll come a time before long when he doesn't, so if anyone can recommend something which is more absorbant for nights, that would be good. I don't think he's a seriously heavy wetter - he wakes or I wake him for a nappy change & bf when I go to bed, so it only needs to last half the night. But the nappy + booster + extra booster is usually pretty soggy in the morning.

Any suggestions?

Use a nappi nippa on them for now - take the velcro off it it is at the point it'll scratch. The nappy should do up more easily and sit over the hips with the Nippa, so you should easily get another 4 months or so out of them. You may then find he slims down on being an active toddler and you might not need to buy anything else.
Should save you some money anyway.
Oh, and get the potty out and encourage him to wee in it at bath time/ copy you when you use the loo, and on these hot days get him playing outside with no nappy and potty nearby, and see if he can work it out for himself. Back in the 50s Dr Spock reckoned most babies were out of nappies by 18 months.

For nights, add the booster(s) between nappy and wrap. This will give extra room in the nappy == will fit longer. A wool wrap over the top will allow evaporation so you won't need as much padding inside the nappy. You can also buy extenders to popper on to the sides of the Motherease One Size to make them last longer.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'd not thought of using a nippa, but I do have a couple so I'll give that a go. You're right: he might well slim down - he's only been walking independently less than 2 months and is only just starting to get more exercise now.

We do use a potty actually (we've been doing EC since he was 8 months) but he's not really managed to 'perform' in it (or the loo) for the last 4 months. Hmm

I'd not heard of extenders for the MEOS, so I'll look them up, thanks.
