I need a suncream 5yo dd can apply to herself

Sorry for posting here, wasn't too sure where to put this one.

There is a policy at dd's school that they will not apply suncream to the children which I think is not really on as I feel they have a duty of care to look after the children and that should include applying suncream so their delicate skin dosn't burn - anyhow, that's a debate for another day and why I'm posting so will get off my soapbox.......

Can anyone recommend an effective, high factor cream that she could apply fairly easily herself? I'm looking for one that isn't so thick or greasy that she can't rub in or will get her in a sticky mess and that won't stain clothing. I'm thinking a spray may be easier than a cream - some of the high factor best brand ones are so thick they take a lot of rubbing in. Any suggestions most welcome. Thanks in advance.

You can put something on her before she goes surely. Give her a sun hat for days you forget.

I started a thread the other day asking about single application sun creams and got some really helpful replies, so I'm trying a Piz Buin one that was recommended on dc atm.

All good so far. It could cut out the need for dc worrying about suncream at school which would be a relief.

You could buy one of the 12 hour protection ones and put it on her before she goes to school.

I did think of putting cream on before she goes - but I guess I thought they all need reapplying regularly so that wouldn't be of much use. Didn't know about long protection creams - thanks, will look into those!

I'd cover her in once a day suncream in the morning, then you don't have to worry - the Boots ones last 8 hours. Otherwise, I bought this last week and it is ridiculously easy to apply - no rubbing at all
