Arrrgh! Leaking every night

Our son leaks almost every single night. We never had this issue with our girls, but no matter what we've tried he wakes up damp/wet/soaking. We're using disposables and started out with nature nappies, then pampers super dry, then Tesco own brand on the recommendation from someone from here. We've tried plastic pants over the top, but still no good. We've now started potty training (aged 2.4) so hopefull, we don't have that long to go, but any helpful tips would be greatly received. Many thanks.

Maybe you need to drop a size, despite the weight recommendation on the packet, it is only a guide. If your son has skinny legs then the fit might not be as snug. Change him last thing before he goes to bed and first thing when he gets up. Make sure his willy is tucked down. They are the only things I can think of TBH.

If his nappy is really full when he gets up then maybe try going up a size, and discouraging drinks in the hour before bed. If it is quite empty then go down a size, as TheBreastmilksOnMe suggested.

I've read sizing up is usually good as they are designed to be more absorbant.

I use a more expensive brand at night and go up s size, the only thing that had worked for my boys.

Our ds2 is 2.10 and a big lad who is showing no sign of being ready / keen to potty train yet.

He's in size 6 nappies and regularly leaked at night until we came up with a nifty solution - we use a Kotex Nighttime sanitary towel, peel off the plastic backing and put it inside the nappy! It adds enough extra absorbancy to get him through the night - bliss!

Thanks all, some useful tips here. He's a stocky lad so we're able to get a decent fit around the legs, but I do think it's leaking out due to a gap, rather than being saturated. I've checked him many a time before I go to bed only be find that he's leaked. When I change his clothes and nappy, the nappy isn't very heavy at all.

Sometimes it is due to his nappy being saturated, so I try to pull the nappy up further at the front as that's where most moisture is absorbed. I do point his little chap downwards, but he often sleeps on his knees with his bum in the air, so it could be pointing anywhere after a few minutes/hours.

He does have about a third/half pint of milk before going to bed every night, something which I want to reduce, instead giving it to hm during the day....but I got out voted on that...

Well well well, going down a nappy size seems to have vastly improved the situation.
